NFPA 241, Standard for Safeguarding Construction, Alteration, and Demolition Operations, 2022

The latest edition features a reorganization of existing content and the addition of new requirements to enhance risk management and fire protection. Following a thorough review of recent fire incidents, significant updates have been made to Chapter 4, “General Requirements,” with new and revised content consolidated for easier use. The Fire Prevention Program has undergone substantial revisions, including updates to the Fire Prevention Program Manager’s requirements. Other chapters in NFPA 241 have also been extensively revised. For instance, Chapter 8, “Safeguarding Construction and Alteration Operations,” now includes references to NFPA 909, Code for the Protection of Cultural Resource Properties — Museums, Libraries, and Places of Worship, and NFPA 914, Code for the Protection of Historic Structures.
